US Presidential Election D-2, Harris and Trump All In Battleground States... Final Day Focuses on Securing Pennsylvania

[US Election 2024]
Two Candidates Campaign in Battleground States Over Weekend
Visit Pennsylvania, Key Battleground, on the 4th
Trump: "Harris Presidency Would Mean a 1929-Style Great Depression"
Harris: "This Election Will End Trump's 10 Years"

With the razor-thin U.S. presidential election just two days away, Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican candidate former President Donald Trump are launching a final all-out effort to rally their support bases, focusing on battleground states during the remaining 48 hours. Since President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race at the end of July confirmed the "Harris vs. Trump" matchup, the three-month-long campaign will conclude on the eve of the election, November 4, when both candidates visit the key battleground state of Pennsylvania.

On November 3 (local time), Vice President Harris will visit Michigan, one of the battleground states. She will campaign by visiting a Black church in Detroit, a barbershop in Pontiac, and Michigan State University in East Lansing, rallying support in the final stretch.

Former President Trump will focus on consolidating his firm support among suburban conservative voters by visiting three small cities in battleground states. In the morning, he will visit Lititz, Pennsylvania; in the afternoon, Kingston, North Carolina; and in the evening, Macon, Georgia for campaign events.

On the eve of the election, November 4, both candidates will visit Pennsylvania, the most critical battleground state. With 19 electoral votes, Pennsylvania is the battleground state with the largest number of electors. It voted for Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020, deciding the occupant of the White House. The phrase "whoever wins Pennsylvania wins the White House" underscores its status as the most fiercely contested state in the presidential election.

Vice President Harris will campaign in Pennsylvania’s major cities, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, on November 4. In Allentown, Pennsylvania, she plans to appeal to Latino voters through support concerts by Puerto Rican rappers Fat Joe and Frankie Negron. This comes amid controversy last weekend when a Trump campaign surrogate at a New York rally referred to the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico as a "trash island," indicating an effort to win immigrant votes. Former President Trump will visit Pennsylvania on the last day of campaigning and hold his final rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

As the U.S. presidential election unfolds in an unpredictable, razor-thin race, both sides remain tense and are intensifying their attacks on their opponent until the very end.

On the morning of the same day, former President Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social, "If Kamala wins, a 1929-style economic depression will begin within three days," adding, "If I win, within three days we will have the best jobs, the highest wages, and the brightest economic future the world has ever seen." Vice President Harris, speaking at a rally in Atlanta the previous day, said, "Do not doubt that we will win," and added, "In this election, we have the chance to end Donald Trump’s decade," criticizing, "He has done everything to divide us and make us fear each other."
