Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun Attends 'Hoecheon 1-dong Residents' Assembly' Yang Soo-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, is delivering a greeting at the '2024 Hoecheon 1-dong Residents' General Meeting and Resident Autonomy Program Presentation' held on the 2nd at the outdoor performance hall of Deokjeong Station in the district.

According to Yangju City on the 3rd, the event hosted and organized by the Hoecheon 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Association (Chairman Choi Tae-ok) was attended by about 250 people, including Mayor Kang Su-hyun, Chairman Choi Tae-ok and members of the Residents' Autonomy Association, and local residents.


The residents' general assembly on that day proceeded in the order of ▲report on the activities of the Residents' Autonomy Association ▲introduction of the 2025 village autonomy plan and report on the residents' voting results ▲declaration of the establishment of the 2025 village autonomy plan.


As a result, two proposals, ▲Deokjeong Flea Market and ▲Senior Memories (Longevity), were selected as the village autonomy plans for Hoecheon 1-dong for next year.


Meanwhile, the Hoecheon 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Association conducted preliminary on-site voting at three locations?the ‘2024 Hoecheon 1-dong Hanmaeum Grand Festival’ venue, Hoecheon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center, and Hoecheon 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Center?from the 12th to the 25th of last month, attracting a total of 223 resident voters.


At the residents' autonomy program presentation that followed, students from a total of eight programs at the Residents' Autonomy Center participated and showcased their skills they had honed, illuminating the stage.


Chairman Choi Tae-ok of the Residents' Autonomy Association said, “I thank everyone who participated in the Hoecheon 1-dong Residents' General Assembly and Residents' Autonomy Program Presentation,” and added, “I hope this first-ever residents' general assembly will serve as a catalyst to encourage democratic participation among residents.”


Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City said, “I express my deep gratitude to Chairman and members of the Hoecheon 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Association who worked hard preparing for the residents' general assembly and residents' autonomy program presentation,” and added, “Just as our city slogan is Yangju advancing together with its citizens, our Yangju City will also work together with citizens to solve difficulties one by one.”
