The Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul urgently arrested a man in his 70s, Mr. A, on suspicion of attempting to kill an acquaintance by assaulting him while intoxicated.
According to the police on the 3rd, Mr. A is accused of assaulting a fellow man in his 70s with a broken glass cup at the acquaintance's home in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, around 6:30 PM the previous day while drinking together (attempted murder).
The victim, who suffered severe facial injuries, was transported to a hospital and is in a stable condition without life-threatening injuries.
Mr. A reported the incident to the police himself but is understood to have stated that he "does not remember" the details related to the crime.
The police are investigating the specific circumstances of Mr. A's crime and are also considering applying for an arrest warrant.
