Gwangju Transportation Corporation recently conducted a one-day train operator experience program at the Yongsan Vehicle Depot in Dong-gu, with students from Sungui Science and Technology High School participating.

Gwangju Transportation Corporation recently held a one-day train operator experience event for students of Sungui Science and Technology High School at the Dong-gu Yongsan Vehicle Depot, conducting on-site programs such as electric train driving and a tour of safety facilities within the vehicle depot, the corporation announced on the 3rd.

During the event, a variety of programs that are usually difficult to experience were offered, including tours of the depot's driving control room and inspection garage, subway safety education, electric train operation, and a Q&A session with train operators, receiving great responses.

The corporation expects that this experience will help young people, the future leaders, with their career planning and enhance their proper understanding of the subway, contributing to the spread of a safe urban railway usage culture.

Jo Ik-moon, president of Gwangju Transportation Corporation, said, “I am pleased to be able to give young people special memories and experiences through this experience event,” and added, “We will continue to contribute to the activation of career experience for local students through various programs.”
