Eyewitness Account of Incident at Apartment Parking Entrance in Anyang, Gyeonggi
A domestic compact car in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, crossed the center line and collided with a supercar worth hundreds of millions of won, and the accident scene has been revealed online, sparking numerous eyewitness accounts.
On the 2nd, videos and photos of the traffic accident that occurred at the entrance of an apartment parking lot in Anyang were posted on multiple online communities under titles such as "Anyang recent situation" and "Avante Lamborghini accident."
The video shows a gray Avante vehicle crossing the center line and colliding with a red Lamborghini that was making a left turn while exiting the apartment parking lot entrance. The driver of the offending vehicle is seen getting out of the car, covering their face as they assess the accident situation.
Photos released together show that the Lamborghini’s driver’s side was severely dented, and the Avante vehicle also had damage to the driver’s side wheel fender area.
The accident quickly spread online through local residents’ group chat rooms, and various eyewitness accounts were shared.

According to eyewitnesses, the female driver of the Avante crossed the center line to overtake a stopped vehicle, causing the accident. On that day, the Avante reportedly tried to avoid a convenience store vehicle illegally parked on a one-lane one-way road to unload cargo, which led to the accident.
One eyewitness said, "I saw the accident happen at that spot," and explained, "There is a convenience store in the shopping area, and the delivery vehicle was parked temporarily to unload cargo. The Avante tried to avoid it to enter the apartment but failed to see a vehicle coming out from a side entrance, causing the accident."
They added, "The accident spot is a no-parking zone, but since it was a convenience store delivery vehicle, after unloading the cargo and seeing the accident, they moved the car and left. Honestly, both vehicles were struck by the illegally parked cars in the alley."
Some eyewitnesses also claimed, "The damaged vehicle wouldn’t start, so they said it would be declared a total loss."
Total loss refers to an insurance system where repair costs exceeding 70-80% of the car’s value are considered a total loss. The damaged vehicle is estimated to be a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder. This limited-edition vehicle was sold domestically at a price of about 380 million won and is traded in the used market for around 400 million won. It is understood that this accident was not separately reported to the police.
Meanwhile, crossing the center line and illegal overtaking are among the 12 major traffic violations, which result in criminal liability as well as civil liability regardless of insurance coverage. However, according to precedents, exceptions are recognized when a driver must swerve due to construction or illegally parked vehicles on a one-lane one-way road.
