Uijeongbu City Daycare Association Hosted Public, Workplace, and Corporate Daycare Centers
Kim Dong-geun, Mayor of Uijeongbu, is attending the "14th Charity Bazaar for Children with Incurable Diseases" on the 2nd and taking commemorative photos with citizens. Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 2nd that the "14th Charity Bazaar for Children with Incurable Diseases," held at the outdoor stage in front of City Hall, concluded successfully with the participation of numerous citizens including childcare staff and parents.
This charity market (bazaar) has been organized and hosted annually since 2011 by the Uijeongbu City Daycare Association's public, workplace, and corporate daycare centers (headed by Ryu Suk-hyang), with 47 daycare centers participating this year.
Division Head Ryu Suk-hyang stated, "Through this charity market (bazaar), children, parents, staff, and the local community were able to share the joy of giving as one," and added, "We sincerely thank the children and parents who contributed their warm hearts."
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "We are grateful to everyone who extended a helping hand to children with rare incurable diseases and their families who face economic difficulties due to long-term treatment," and added, "We will continue to strive to eliminate welfare blind spots through active sharing activities."
Meanwhile, the Uijeongbu City Daycare Association's public, workplace, and corporate daycare centers have donated over 120 million won raised through 13 events up to last year, and the funds collected on this day will also be delivered to children with incurable diseases in the district through designated contributions to the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest.
