Lee Jae-myung at Outdoor Rally: "Judging Unjust Power... Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said at an outdoor rally held around Seoul Station on the 2nd, "Let us fight together until the people prove that they are the owners of this country, and until the president acknowledges that he is a public servant of the people, not a ruler."

In his speech at the Democratic Party's rally titled "Kim Geon-hee and Yoon Seok-yeol State Power Abuse Condemnation and Special Prosecutor Demand National Action Day," Lee stated, "Let us restart here today and judge the unjust anti-people power."

He emphasized, "At every turning point in history?the April 19 Revolution in 1960, the May 18 People's Uprising in 1980, the June Struggle in 1987, and the Candlelight Revolution in 2016?it was the people who rose up and took action. Although the darkness driven away by the candlelight has returned as a greater and darker shadow, we will once again prove that darkness cannot overcome light."

Lee criticized, "The first article of the Constitution, which states that the Republic of Korea is a democratic republic, is being trampled upon. It is not the president elected by the people but irresponsible individuals who dominate state affairs, and irrationality, ignorance, and superstition are shaking the government."

He pointed out, "Recall the winter of 2016. When the unjust power was brought to its knees by fragile candlelight, we thought state power abuse would disappear forever. Absurdly, with the worst administration, all dreams were shattered in less than three years."

He continued, "Eight long years have passed, and it feels hollow as if we have come full circle back to where we started. The government and ruling party have despised the people, enjoyed power, and indulged in political strife. This administration is a habitual law-breaking regime."

He then urged President Yoon, "Immediately accept the Kim Geon-hee Special Prosecutor Act and the Chae Sang-byeong Special Prosecutor Act, which represent the overwhelming sovereign will of the people."
