The Namyangju City Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Jo Seong-dae) announced on the 1st that it will listen to citizens' opinions over a 12-day period from the 4th to the 15th ahead of this year's administrative audit.
The Namyangju City Council plans to conduct an administrative audit targeting Namyangju City and its affiliated institutions from the 21st to the 29th to review overall city administration. Prior to this, it will collect citizens' opinions to promote a more substantial audit.
The reports should concern overall city administration, including illegal or improper matters, issues requiring improvement, cases of budget waste, and other matters causing inconvenience to citizens' daily lives. The reported issues will be forwarded to the relevant standing committees and utilized in the administrative audit.
Reports can be submitted via the Namyangju City Council website (Administrative Audit Citizen Report Board), by visiting in person, or by mail (Namyangju City Council, 1037 Gyeongchun-ro, Namyangju City). The identity of the reporters will be kept confidential.
However, matters related to ongoing trials or investigations, anonymous reports, issues involving personal attacks or false defamation, matters infringing on personal privacy or concerning private interests such as property or personal safety, and other issues deemed inappropriate for administrative audit processing will be excluded.
Chairman Jo Seong-dae stated, “We will ensure that a substantial administrative audit is conducted based on valuable opinions from citizens and materials collected from the field through legislative activities,” and added, “We ask for the active interest and participation of citizens.”
