According to KT on the 1st, CEO Kim is scheduled to explain the background of the establishment and future plans of the subsidiaries KT Netcore and KT P&M during a "CEO Special Talk" at 8:30 a.m. on the 4th. The CEO Special Talk will be conducted via internal broadcasting for all employees.

The briefing will also include a Q&A session with employees. Given the open nature of the discussion, it is expected that there will be clarifications regarding the controversy over senior executives and managers pressuring employees targeted for personnel reallocation to transfer.

Earlier, KT held a board meeting on the 15th of last month and approved the establishment of KT OSP (tentative name) and KT P&M as part of the personnel reallocation plan. The name KT OSP was finally decided as KT Netcore.

KT Netcore will be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of line facilities, while KT P&M will handle the design, construction, and maintenance of power facilities at communication stations, as well as the operation and maintenance of wireless communication for islands and ships.

KT initially set the deadline for subsidiary transfer applications as the 28th of last month but extended it to the 4th of this month. The second labor union, KT Saenozu, views this as a measure taken due to a lack of transfer performance compared to expectations.
