Damyang-gun November Regular Meeting... Commendation for 6·25 Veterans On the 1st, Lee Byeong-no, the mayor of Damyang County, presented medals and commendations to Korean War veterans and campaign contributors at the November regular meeting held in the Myeonangjeong Room of the county office, and then took a commemorative photo.

On the 1st, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do held its November regular assembly at the Myeonangjeong Room in the county office, attended by over 180 public officials.


During the assembly, awards were presented including the Hwarang Military Merit Medal to veterans of the Korean War, recognition for contributors to the Green Village Campaign for a fire-free environment, exemplary seniors and contributors to senior welfare in celebration of Senior Citizens' Day, and public officials honored for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Day.


County Governor Lee Byeong-no stated, “With numerous cultural events and the Kimchi-making Sharing Festival scheduled for November, please ensure these events proceed smoothly and safely. As autumn arrives, please be vigilant about bicycle safety accidents, prevent autumn forest fires, prepare for winter natural disasters, and thoroughly manage the safety of vulnerable groups.”


He also urged strengthening communication with the council in preparation for the 2nd regular session of the Damyang County Council starting on the 20th, including administrative audits, questions and answers on county administration, and deliberations on next year’s budget proposal.


The governor further emphasized, “As the hometown love donation campaign begins, please do your best to promote small donations among office workers ahead of year-end tax settlements.”


Meanwhile, the regular assembly also included a presentation on understanding the quality of life indices for rural areas, sharing advanced cases from an industrial inspection in Yibin City, China, the oath-taking ceremony for new public officials, and a book raffle.
