'Squid Game,' Netflix's highest-grossing series to date, is returning with Season 2 on the 26th of next month. A teaser poster and trailer were released on the 1st.
Season 2 centers on the intense showdown between Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who vows revenge and re-enters the game, and the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun). In the teaser poster, Seong Gi-hun once again wears the green tracksuit and enters the game as number 456, standing at the front with a determined expression. The Front Man reveals his face hidden behind the mask, turning his back on the Pink Guards.
The teaser trailer begins with participants taking photos before the game starts. The Pink Guards announce a new rule that after each game, they will vote on whether to continue to the next game.
The first game that follows is "Red Light, Green Light," which also appeared in Season 1. As the first casualty occurs, the participants begin to waver. Amid divided opinions on whether to continue the game, Seong Gi-hun pleads, "We can't do this now. We have to get out of here immediately."
When some participants resist, he shouts, "I've played this game before!" begging them. However, shouts of "One more round" keep echoing in the venue, while the Front Man calmly watches the scene on a monitor.
Season 2 stars Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-joon, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-wook, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee Da-wit, Choi Seung-hyun, Noh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, Won Ji-an, Gong Yoo, and others. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk returns to the helm.
