The Public Health Center of Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 31st that it will provide transportation expenses support of up to 300,000 KRW for pregnant women residing in Dongducheon City.
This program was established to alleviate the burden of transportation costs incurred during obstetric and gynecological visits, as most pregnant women living in Dongducheon City receive medical care at obstetrics and gynecology clinics located outside the city.
The support targets pregnant women whose registered address has been in Dongducheon City for at least six months as of the application date. Transportation expenses such as fuel costs and taxi fares incurred when visiting medical institutions for prenatal and postnatal care from pregnancy until six months before delivery will be reimbursed up to 300,000 KRW.
Pregnant women who wish to apply should bring medical institution receipts, transportation expense receipts paid on the date of the visit, pregnancy confirmation documents, a copy of their bankbook, and identification to the Maternal and Child Health Office on the 2nd floor of the Public Health Center.
However, if the spouse applies on behalf of the pregnant woman, a power of attorney must be completed and submitted for the support to be granted.
For other inquiries related to pregnancy and childbirth programs, please contact the Maternal and Child Health Office at the Dongducheon City Public Health Center.
