‘Guri, Exploring and Appreciating Its Attractions’ Wins Prestigious Grand Prize
Announcement of Award-Winning Works for the 3rd Guri City Short-Form Video Contest "Capturing Guri". The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced the selection of 25 award-winning works for the 3rd Guri Short-form Video Contest "Capturing Guri," held to express a city that communicates with its citizens.
Guri City revealed on the 31st that from September 11 to September 30, a total of 31 videos were submitted for the contest, which invited anyone interested in Guri to participate by submitting vertical short-form videos under 1 minute on any topic related to Guri.
The judging panel, composed of three external judges and four internal judges, evaluated the entries based on popularity, interest, technique, creativity, and usability. The grand prize was awarded to "Guri, Discovering by Painting Famous Spots," which introduced Guri through speed painting.
The excellence awards went to "How to Teleport to Guri," themed on the extension opening of Line 8, and "Characteristics of Guri City (Guri Citizens' Traits)," which focused on the city's unique features.
The merit awards were given to "Capturing the Moment of Guri," emphasizing the recent trend of fast speed, and "Having a Baby in Guri City is Totally Lucky Biki," which introduced postnatal support policies in Guri. Additionally, five encouragement awards and fifteen honorable mentions were selected among the submissions.
The city plans to hold an awards ceremony on November 1 for the grand prize, excellence awards, and merit awards. Afterwards, the winning works will be posted on Guri City's official YouTube and Instagram channels and used extensively for city promotion materials and overall public relations.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri said, "I hope this contest provided a great opportunity for the entire nation to get to know Guri City," and added, "I thank all citizens who participated in the contest, and we will appropriately utilize the winning works to newly discover and spread the charm of Guri City."
