Guri-si Holds Agreement Ceremony for Creating a Life-Respecting Safe Village On the 30th, Guri City signed a business agreement to create a Life Respect Safe Village with 30 participating organizations from Donggudong, Sutaek 1-dong, and Sutaek 3-dong at the Guri City Hall Situation Room.

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 31st that on the 30th, it signed a business agreement to create a Life Respect Safe Village with 30 participating organizations from Donggudong, Sutaek 1-dong, and Sutaek 3-dong at the Guri City Hall Situation Room.


The Life Respect Safe Village is a newly launched project this year by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Life Respect Hope Foundation, aiming to reduce the suicide rate by closely building a suicide prevention safety net through cooperation with various organizations and groups within the local community.


The main contents of this business agreement include ▲ identification, intervention, and connection of high-risk groups ▲ suicide prevention awareness improvement campaigns ▲ Life Keeper education ▲ customized service support for high-risk suicide groups ▲ blocking means of suicide risk, with plans to operate suicide prevention projects more actively through inter-agency collaboration.


Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “Through this agreement, we expect that citizens will be able to live in a healthy and safe environment with a resident-centered suicide prevention strategy.”
