The delivery ceremony was attended by the couple Kim Jun-young and Sagong Hye-ran, Park Hyung-duk, Mayor of Dongducheon, Kia Vice President Jung Won-jung, Kim Young-sung, Chairman of the Dongducheon Community Security Council, Lee Kyung-ah, Head of the Community Chest of Korea Northern Gyeonggi Headquarters, and other officials. A 9-seater Kia Carnival vehicle was delivered to the family with quintuplets, followed by a commemorative ceremony.
The event was organized to support and encourage the healthy growth of the babies, who were born naturally on September 20th?the first quintuplets born naturally in Korea?and registered as citizens of Dongducheon. Although the quintuplets have not yet been discharged from the incubator, Kia, Dongducheon City (Mayor Park Hyung-duk), Dongducheon Community Security Council (Co-Chairman Kim Young-sung), and the Community Chest of Korea Northern Gyeonggi Headquarters collaborated to provide this support.
Jung Won-jung, Vice President of Kia, said, “We congratulate Dongducheon on the birth of the quintuplets. We feel very honored and fulfilled to be able to assist as they grow and to support their healthy discharge from the hospital.”
Park Hyung-duk, Mayor of Dongducheon, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We thank the Kia officials who visited Dongducheon City and everyone who made great efforts to support the family with quintuplets by providing the vehicle together with Kia.”
Meanwhile, Dongducheon City stated that it will do its best in population policy to lead the development of pregnancy and childbirth policies and to provide better policies to more citizens, taking the birth of the quintuplets as an opportunity.
