About 30 participants, including deputy heads from eight cities and counties in the northern Gyeonggi region, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, attendees were urged to proactively establish safety management measures for local festivals that attract large crowds during the year-end and New Year celebrations, and to cooperate closely with related agencies such as the police and fire departments to ensure the safety of residents.
It was also emphasized that in border areas such as Paju, Yeoncheon, and Gimpo, strict crackdowns on the distribution of leaflets directed toward North Korea should be conducted with special attention to protecting the lives and safety of residents.
Additionally, the meeting shared excellent cases from Dongducheon City, including progress and operational status of the Dongducheon Natural Recreation Forest project, as well as the operation and usage status of nearby Nolja Forest and Healing Forest.

It opened in July 2020 as a nature-friendly complex recreational experience space offering various forest experiences suitable for all ages.
Since its opening, nearly 400,000 residents have used the facility. Nearby, Nolja Forest and Healing Forest operate diverse programs such as forest healing with certified forest healing instructors, spa treatments, and children’s experiential play activities.
