Governor's Delegation Visits Busan Port on the 30th

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) announced on the 30th that a delegation led by On Hafiz Bin Ghazi, the Governor of Johor State, Malaysia, visited Busan Port.

The governor's delegation visited to benchmark Busan Port's advanced terminal operation methods and port management know-how in order to enhance the competitiveness of Johor State's ports.


Johor State is located at the southernmost tip of Malaysia, bordering Singapore, and is rapidly growing as a center for international trade and logistics. It is recognized as a strategic logistics hub in Malaysia.


During this visit, the governor's delegation received explanations about the current status of Busan Port, advanced operation methods such as fully automated piers, mid- to long-term expansion plans, and international logistics networks. They also toured the piers of the North Port and redevelopment areas, showing great interest in the development process of Busan Port.


Lee Eung-hyuk, Head of International Logistics Support Department at BPA, said, “Exchanges with the Malaysian state government will lead to strengthening Busan Port’s ASEAN regional network,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate to ensure that Busan Port’s experience and know-how provide practical assistance to the development of Johor ports.”
