[Concall] Samsung Electronics "Bixby Smartphone Version Also Coming Soon"

On the 31st, Samsung Electronics announced its confirmed results for the third quarter of this year and, during the subsequent conference call, stated, "As AI smartphones rapidly evolve, we expect not only hardware specifications but also AI functions to advance further." They added, "Our company aims to provide the best AI capabilities to customers and is considering the adoption of application processors (AP) and memory that meet these requirements."

They continued, "Running generative AI models on-device requires high-performance APs and memory, which is expected to cause heat generation and battery consumption. Therefore, we are also reviewing various technologies and solutions to address these issues." They further explained, "Samsung Electronics launched an upgraded AI voice assistant, Bixby, on TVs and home appliances globally at the end of August this year. In the future, a smartphone version capable of performing more complex functions will also be released."
