NH Investment & Securities announced on the 31st that it conducted the 'Eat Breakfast Movement' campaign to promote the consumption of Korean rice.
The Eat Breakfast Movement was held on the same day at the lobby of Park One Tower in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, in collaboration with the Rural-Urban Win-Win National Movement Headquarters. NH Investment & Securities employees, as well as employees of companies residing in Park One, distributed Korean rice packages and promoted the Eat Breakfast Movement.
At the event, Yoon Byung-woon, President of NH Investment & Securities, ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) promotion department staff, Lee Jong-wook, Director of the Agricultural and Rural Support Headquarters at the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF), and NACF community contribution department employees handed out promotional materials, rice noodles, and rice chips made from Korean rice to employees on their way to work.
The Eat Breakfast Movement is part of the nationwide campaign by the NACF to expand rice consumption, aiming to support farmers facing difficulties due to falling rice prices and to promote the consumption of Korean rice.
President Yoon Byung-woon stated, "As a member of the NACF, we will continue to pay attention to ways to promote the consumption of Korean rice to alleviate the difficulties faced by farmers struggling with unstable rice prices."
NH Investment & Securities has been participating in the rice consumption expansion campaign, including donating 2,000 bags of 10kg rice to social welfare facilities in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do Special Autonomous Province, on the 22nd. The donated rice is scheduled to be delivered to 16 child and youth facilities and group homes, 21 social welfare facilities, and 6 social welfare centers.
