Joint Briefing Session of Overseas Certification Support Agencies Consortium
The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 31st that it held the 'Overseas Certification Trends 2024' event at SETEC exhibition hall located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, jointly with 13 overseas certification support organizations including the Korean Standards Association.
This event was organized under the theme of 'Comprehensive Guide to Global Market Certification, Regulations, and Export Support Activities for Exporting SMEs,' aiming to explore ways to support the global expansion of exporting SMEs by providing the latest overseas certification trends for major export items' export strategies and target markets.
On this day, as an export support organization participating in the Overseas Certification Support Group, the Small and Medium Business Corporation presented methods for acquiring overseas certifications and overseas expansion plans utilizing the export voucher program to export companies and employees of overseas certification testing institutions.
In particular, they introduced excellent cases of export voucher utilization, including small and medium enterprises that significantly increased their export performance by securing overseas expansion opportunities through advance overseas standard certification acquisition using the export voucher.
Kim Il-ho, Director of Global Growth at the Small and Medium Business Corporation, stated, “The Corporation is conducting various collaborations with related organizations to pioneer overseas markets for SMEs,” and added, “We will take the lead in supporting the globalization of domestic small and medium ventures by expanding cooperation among related organizations in specialized fields such as certification.”
