The contest will accept submissions for one month from October 31 to November 29, and any Korean citizen can submit up to two works per person. Awards will be given to a total of 27 works: 1 Gold Prize, 2 Silver Prizes, 3 Bronze Prizes, and 21 Honorable Mentions, with a total prize money of 5 million KRW.

Now in its fifth year, the "Junam Reservoir Environmental Photography Contest" selects creative and original works focused on the natural scenery that highlights the ecological excellence of Junam Reservoir. Over the past four years, a total of 125 outstanding works have been selected and are being used as important basic materials for promotion and education.

In particular, the award-winning works are exhibited at the Ramsar Culture Center gallery, receiving great responses from visitors, and are noted for significantly contributing to the branding of Junam Reservoir through active citizen participation.

Lee Hyun-joo, head of the Junam Reservoir Division, said, "We ask for the enthusiastic participation of the entire nation in this contest that captures the fleeting moments of the beautiful Junam Reservoir," adding, "We expect that holding the contest will promote Junam Reservoir as an eco-tourism area, attract tourists, and help revitalize the local economy."

Meanwhile, to improve the quality of submissions, the Junam Reservoir Environmental Photography Contest will be held biennially in even-numbered years starting this year.
