Since its inception in 1989, the Daegu Collection has been the longest-running fashion designer collection in Korea, now in its 35th edition. Over the years, designers representing the region and Korea, such as Jeon Sang-jin, Kim Woo-jong, Park Dong-jun, Kim Sun-ja, and Andre Kim, have participated.

This collection features solo shows by three established local designer brands: Namhee Collection (Nam Eun-young), Gu Jeong-il Couture (Gu Jeong-il), and CHOIBOKO (Choi Bok-ho); a joint show by four emerging local designer brands: LUBOO (Koo Hwa-bin), DOBB (Do Yoo-yeon), POUM (Jang Jae-young), and MWM (Kim Min-seok); and a solo show by one invited Seoul designer brand, DOUCAN (Choi Chung-hoon), totaling six shows over two days.

The fashion show venue has 550 seats, including buyer, industry professional, and VIP sections, and general citizens can watch the fashion shows on-site without separate reservations or invitations.

During the event, promotional booths for each designer are set up in the lobby in front of the large auditorium on the second floor of the Fashion Center, allowing close access to the brands' works.

In addition to a photo booth for certification photos for visitors, the Suseong Women's Club operates 25 flea market booths on the first floor of the Fashion Center, providing various attractions.

Nam Eun-young, designer of Namhee Collection, who is in charge of the opening show of this Daegu Collection, expressed her ambition, saying, “As K-fashion's influence grows in the global fashion market, I will continue to challenge myself through broad work that reinterprets Korean traditional motifs and inspirations.”

Hong Joon-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, said, “The Daegu Collection is the longest-running fashion show in Korea with a history of 35 years,” and added, “I hope the Daegu Collection will be an opportunity for local fashion designers to grow into global brands leading K-trends.”
