Masan Happo Sports Center Obtains 'Space Safety Certification'

Masan Happo Sports Center, under the Changwon Facilities Corporation in Gyeongnam, received high marks in facility safety management activities and obtained the ‘Safety-Zone Certification’.

The Safety-Zone Certification is a voluntary safety evaluation system organized by the Korea Safety Certification Institute and supervised by the National Fire Agency.

Specifically, it certifies the overall safety level of workplaces in four areas: ▲safety management and architectural disaster prevention ▲fire safety and hazardous materials safety ▲equipment performance testing ▲new technologies and equipment improvements.

Masan Happo Sports Center received high scores for drastically improving various facilities including fire safety and for efforts to create a safe facility environment such as establishing an AI-based elevator safety system.

Director Kim Jonghae said, “We will strive to establish ourselves as a public institution where local residents can use the facilities more safely and comfortably, taking this certification as an opportunity.”
