Handonghun "No Possibility of Opposition Ceasing Attacks... Special Inspector Needed"

Handonghun "Focus on Future Misconduct Prevention and Monitoring"

Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, pointed out on the 31st that the opposition parties, including the Democratic Party of Korea, are intensifying their attacks on President Yoon Seok-yeol, and repeatedly urged, "It is necessary to appoint a Special Inspector now to prevent future misconduct in order to focus on people's livelihoods without spending energy on defending against attacks."

At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, Han said, "There is no possibility that the Democratic Party of Korea will voluntarily stop its excessive and unreasonable attacks on negative issues during the remaining two and a half years of the government's term."

Earlier, at a press conference marking his 100th day in office the previous day, Han also expressed his intention to push for the appointment of a Special Inspector, saying, "If there had been a Special Inspector, many of the current problems might not have occurred."

He added, "The Special Inspector not only investigates past misconduct but mainly focuses on preventing and auditing future misconduct," and persuaded, "The government and ruling party must accomplish a lot in the remaining two and a half years and be evaluated by the people to recreate the administration."
