A bizarre 3-meter-long object was discovered on a beach in Australia, attracting attention.

On the 29th (local time), foreign media such as ABC News and the New York Post reported that a man named Vicky Evans near Adelaide, Australia, witnessed an unidentified object. While walking along Horseshoe Bay, he found a tangle of clam shells and translucent stems, took photos, and posted them on his social media (SNS). Netizens reacted with comments like "What on earth is this?" "It's so bizarre," and "It must have been scary to see in person."

Martin Smith, a local patrol officer, described it as "looking like udon noodles with cockles attached at the end." It was later revealed that the object was a cluster of goose-neck barnacles. Goose-neck barnacles are marine creatures characterized by long stalks resembling a goose's neck and hard shells. They are often found on beaches, but such large clusters are rare.

Dr. Joe Doubleday, a marine ecologist at the University of South Australia, also expressed surprise, saying, "I've never seen such a barnacle cluster before." He added, "It appears to be a barnacle colony that was attached to an old pier iron tower or had been underwater for a long time and then detached all at once."
