This is a 14 km course starting from Sinchon Village, right in front of the old bridge among the two Geoje Bridges, and it takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete. It is an easy walking path composed of low-altitude trails within 200 meters and seaside walking paths, with no rough mountain trails.
Take bus number 620 from Tongyeong Intercity Bus Terminal and get off at Tongyeong Health Center. Then transfer to bus numbers 100 or 403 at the nearby Suazio stop and get off at Sinchon Village in front of the old Geoje Bridge, where the course begins. It takes 40 minutes by bus from Tongyeong Intercity Bus Terminal to here. From Jungang Traditional Market in downtown Tongyeong, take bus numbers 100 or 403 and ride for 26 minutes to arrive at the Sinchon Village stop.
The 'Nampalanggil Course 28' leaves Sinchon Village with the Geoje Bridge behind and walks along the seaside path to reach the warmly named Eumchon Village and Yangchon Village. Passing through this neighborhood, follow the cypress forest trail (forest road) to Sambongsan, Ibongsan, and Ilbongsan Mountains, arriving at Yongnam-myeon Office. This is 7 km and usually takes 2 hours and 30 minutes.
From here, after enjoying the atmosphere of the seaside village 'Seonchon (Mineul)', walk about 2 km and you will soon arrive at the RCE Sejatra Forest. In 2005, Tongyeong City was designated as the first sustainable development city in Korea and the eighth in the world by the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) on Education for Sustainable Development. This forest was opened by the city to spread the value of sustainability.
Walking about 3 km through this forest path, where clear skies, sea views, and dense forests harmonize, you will arrive at Yi Sun-sin Park and discover the compact and beautiful Tongyeong Harbor. Walking 1 km along the seaside path leads to Nammangsan Sculpture Park, marking the end of the long journey. Nammangsan Sculpture Park is the starting point of the 'Toyoungiya~gil - Fragrance of Art Path' and also the starting point of Nampalanggil Course 29.
This is a beautiful and easy walking path connecting Sejatra Forest, Yi Sun-sin Park, and Nammangsan Sculpture Park. Moreover, Yi Sun-sin Park is also a famous sunrise spot. After finishing the course, you can take bus numbers 752 or 610 from the Nammangsan Sculpture Park entrance stop (249-1 Dongho-dong, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongnam) to return to Tongyeong Intercity Bus Terminal.
Challengers of Nampalanggil usually stay overnight here after completing Course 28 and then start Course 29. Course 29 is 17.6 km long and takes more than 6 hours to walk. It is about 4 km longer and takes about 2 hours more than Course 28.
