Hanam Urban Corporation and Hanam Misa Riverside Comprehensive Social Welfare Center are conducting the 'Winter Love Kimchi Has Arrived!' project for vulnerable single-parent families in the local community. Gyeonggi Hanam Urban Corporation (President Choi Cheol-gyu) announced on the 30th that on the 29th, it conducted the ‘Winter愛 Kimchi Has Arrived!’ project for single-parent families in vulnerable groups within the local community, together with Hanam Misa Riverside Comprehensive Social Welfare Center (Director Jo Hye-yeon). On that day, a total of 1,000 kg of kimchi was provided, with 10 kg each to 100 households.
The ‘Winter愛 Kimchi Has Arrived!’ event is a project that delivers kimchi to vulnerable residents every winter to supplement nutrition and support a stable diet, following the summer kimchi support project ‘Summer愛 Please Take Care of the Kimchi.’ For this event, Hanam Urban Corporation not only provided budget support but also had President Choi Cheol-gyu, General Manager Lee Jeong-hoon, and other executives and employees participate directly in making and delivering the kimchi, working hard together for the citizens of Hanam.
Since 2019, Hanam Urban Corporation, together with Hanam Misa Riverside Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, has donated various sponsorship items for the Hanam-type community care ‘Donguibogam’ and for overcoming COVID-19 and resolving welfare blind spots. Hanam Urban Corporation also carries out various social contribution activities in the local community, including volunteering for meal distribution at senior citizen cafeterias and side dish distribution, collaborating on senior job and social activity support projects at public parking lots in the district, and this year promoting the ‘Huic Modu Dream House’ project to improve housing and living environments for vulnerable groups in the district.
President Choi Cheol-gyu said, “We sincerely made and delivered kimchi together with our employees so that single-parent families facing various difficulties can spend this winter warmly. We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities with Hanam Misa Riverside Comprehensive Social Welfare Center for neighbors in need.”
Director Jo Hye-yeon said, “We deeply appreciate Hanam Urban Corporation and its executives and employees who personally made and delivered kimchi for neighbors in need within the local community. The welfare center will continue to do its best to become a place where neighbors reach out warmly to each other and unite as one.”
