Im Tae-hee, Superintendent of Education, "The Goal of Education is to Enable Students to Live a Happy Life" Im Tae-hee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, is delivering a greeting at the 'Special School Culture and Arts Festival' held at the small theater of Gyeonggi Art Center on the 30th.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) held the 'Special School Culture and Arts Festival' on the 30th at the small theater of the Gyeonggi Arts Center. The event was organized to provide opportunities for students with special education needs to showcase their talents in culture and the arts.


Under the theme "Our Dreams Are Within Us!", the festival was hosted by the Gyeonggi Special School Principals Scholarship Council and supported by the Provincial Office of Education and NongHyup Bank Gyeonggi Headquarters.


The event was attended by Superintendent Lim Tae-hee, Chairperson Lee Ae-hyung of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Education Administration Committee, Kim Min-ja, Head of NongHyup Bank Gyeonggi Headquarters, principals of special schools, students, and the educational community. Additionally, many students participated through a live broadcast on YouTube, enhancing the festival's atmosphere.


The festival featured various performances such as orchestra, choir, dance, and Nanta, showcasing the students' talents and passion, delivering both inspiration and enjoyment.


The Provincial Office of Education plans to continue supporting students to freely express their creativity and passion through the festival and to enhance understanding and social empathy for special education among students, parents, and staff.


In his greeting, Superintendent Lim Tae-hee said, "Today's festival is possible because of the participation of students and the families who support them," adding, "The true protagonists of this event are the students and their families."


He continued, "Everyone has things they are good at and things they are not. That applies to me as well," emphasizing, "Therefore, education is important to find what one is good at and to live a happy life by doing that work."


Superintendent Lim Tae-hee stated, "Gyeonggi education focuses on discovering students' strengths, fostering growth through education, and establishing a foundation for students to act independently," and added, "We will strive to ensure that Gyeonggi special education is worthy of global recognition."


He also expressed, "This event is a chance for students to present the skills they have honed at each school, and I hope it becomes an educational showcase that helps students improve what they love and excel at," concluding, "I hope today's festival serves as a good opportunity for students' growth."
