November 12 POSCO Hosts 'Pohang International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Forum'
Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Transition to a Leading Hydrogen Economy Nation
Pohang City will hold the "2024 Pohang International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Forum" on November 12 at the POSCO International Hall International Conference Room.
At this forum, experts in the hydrogen fuel cell field from both domestic and international sectors will attend to discuss the development direction of Pohang's hydrogen fuel cell industry and strategic nurturing plans for a sustainable future.
Under the theme "Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Transition to a Leading Nation in the Future Hydrogen Economy," this forum is hosted by Pohang City and Pohang Technopark, supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Gyeongbuk Province, and will provide a platform for exchange and cooperation among industry, academia, research, and government sectors.
Starting with a keynote speech by Anthony Leo, former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the global fuel cell specialist company FuelCell Energy, the forum will continue with special invited lectures from overseas, thematic presentations and discussions by major domestic companies and research institutions, followed by Q&A sessions.
In particular, this forum is expected to be an opportunity for experts from various fields to gather and concretize the future vision, focusing on current issues to develop future Pohang as a clean energy city based on hydrogen fuel cells.
Additionally, at the venue, a promotional hall and investment consultation center will be operated to commemorate the first anniversary of passing the preliminary feasibility study (PFS) for the hydrogen fuel cell cluster, showcasing the current progress and future plans, highlighting the cluster's achievements and prospects.
