A Stepping Stone for Successful Startups through Youth and Middle-aged Collaboration... 'Generation Convergence Startup Support'
Selected in June this year, 'Startup Education and 1:1 Customized Consulting Support'... 9 Teams Completed
“What if we combine the passion and ideas of youth with the skills and know-how of middle-aged and older adults to create better startup results?” Dongdaemun-gu has stepped up to support the dreams of prospective entrepreneurs who have thought about this but found it difficult to take on the challenge.
On the 28th, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held a completion ceremony for the ‘Generation Convergence Successful Startup Support Project’ and announced on the 30th that it had produced 9 ‘generation convergence startup’ teams.
Dongdaemun-gu selected participating teams through applications received in June this year and invited expert instructors in various fields to provide startup education covering ▲understanding generation convergence ▲developing startup ideas ▲financial accounting and marketing ▲methods of fundraising.
After completing the common education, they focused on refining their individual startup items and business models through 1:1 customized consulting.
The 9 teams who participated in the approximately two-month training presented their achievements on the 28th, the day of the completion ceremony. The district evaluated the teams based on project effectiveness, social impact, and technical aspects, awarding the top 3 teams and presenting certificates of completion to all 9 participating teams.
The Youth Employment Division of Dongdaemun-gu, which promoted the ‘Generation Convergence Successful Startup Support Project,’ stated, “We plan to continue supporting and networking even after the project ends to help ensure stable startups,” adding, “We hope this project will serve as a stepping stone for successful startups through collaboration between youth and middle-aged and older adults.”
