Wando-gun "Tax Worries, Now Shake Them Off Easily"

'Visiting Village Tax Consultant'... Free Consultation on National and Local Taxes

Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 30th that it has been operating the 'Visiting Village Tax Accountant' service since the 23rd, targeting small business owners, small merchants, and vulnerable groups.

The 'Visiting Village Tax Accountant' program is a system where tax accountants affiliated with the Korea Association of Tax Accountants have been providing free consultations on national and local taxes through talent donation since 2016.

This year, the village tax accountant consultations in the Wando area are being handled by tax accountants Son Yeon-ji, Jang Hee-jin, and Park Woo-young. The head of the Tax Accounting Division's Assessment Team will also participate to provide consultations closely related to residents' daily lives, such as local taxes.

For efficient operation of the system, the 12 towns and townships were divided into three zones. The first round of free consultations was held in ▲Wando-eup ▲Gunoe-myeon ▲Sinji-myeon ▲Gogeum-myeon ▲Yaksan-myeon. The second round will be held in ▲Geumil-eup ▲Saengil-myeon ▲Geumdang-myeon ▲Cheongsan-myeon, and the third round will target residents of ▲Nohwa-eup ▲Soan-myeon ▲Bogil-myeon.

Tax consultations are conducted by writing questions on consultation cards available at the town or township offices and applying in advance, followed by face-to-face consultations with the tax accountants.

Kim Hee-su, head of the Tax Accounting Division of Wando-gun, said, “We operate the 'Visiting Village Tax Accountant' service because residents could not resolve their tax concerns due to the burden of consultation costs. We will continue to strive to solve tax issues through the village tax accountant system.”
