98 out of 142 Pledge Projects Completed with 69% Implementation Rate... 44 Projects Underway
Strengthening Departmental Self-Checks for Efficient Pledge Project Execution
On the 28th, Guri City held the "8th Term Public Pledge Project Progress Report Meeting" in the situation room on the 3rd floor of the city hall to review the progress of public pledge projects. The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 30th that it held the ‘8th Term Public Pledge Project Progress Report Meeting’ on the 28th at the 3rd-floor situation room of the city hall to check the progress of public pledge projects.
Presided over by Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun, the report meeting was attended by about 20 directors and heads of departments responsible for the pledge projects. In the second half of the 8th term, in-depth discussions were held on the prompt promotion of public pledge projects aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens.
According to the city, out of the current 142 public pledge projects, 98 have been completed, showing a fulfillment rate of 69%, and the remaining 44 projects are progressing smoothly.
Major completed public pledge projects include ▲Creation of a park golf course in the retention basin at Acheon Rainwater Drainage Pump Station ▲Expansion of vehicles supporting transportation-vulnerable groups ▲Establishment of a Total Support Center for Small Business Owners ▲Installation of sidewalks on Wonsutaek-ro ▲Operation of the Silver Culture Center ▲Creation of sports spaces exclusively for seniors ▲Installation and operation of an observatory at Inchang Library ▲Expansion of pet theme parks ▲Significant reduction in usage costs for public daycare centers by region.
The city plans to actively work to complete projects such as ▲Creation of an illuminated gallery under Topyeong Bridge ▲Construction of a direct access bike path connecting Byeollae Station exit to Galmaecheon by the end of this year.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun instructed, “Strengthen self-inspections by each department to ensure the swift implementation of public pledge projects, accurately assess the progress of each project, and prepare concrete improvement plans for projects that are lagging,” urging the responsible departments to carry out their duties with accountability and substance.
Meanwhile, Guri City holds monthly report meetings to promote citizen-experienced public pledges aimed at creating a ‘Happier Guri City through Joyful Change.’ In addition, the city discloses the 8th term administrative vision and progress, detailed action plans by sector, and results of the public pledge citizen evaluation group operation to citizens through the city’s official website.
