Guri-si Holds Healing Workshop to Strengthen Dong Human Safety Network Capabilities Guri City held a Healing Workshop for the local human safety network on the 29th at Gapyeong Jat Hyanggi Arboretum, targeting honorary social welfare officers and members of the local community security council.

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 30th that it held a Healing Workshop for the Dong Human Safety Net at Gapyeong Jat Hyanggi Arboretum on the 29th, targeting honorary social welfare officers and members of the local community security council.


This workshop aimed to strengthen the personal capabilities of participants through education on discovering welfare blind spots and activities such as meditation therapy, providing time to empathize with and understand each other.


In particular, the meditation program conducted under the guidance of experts helped participants relieve stress accumulated from their work and foster a sense of solidarity as personnel discovering neighbors in crisis, receiving high praise from the participants.


Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “I hope this workshop served as an opportunity for honorary social welfare officers and members of the Dong local community security council, who are dedicated to community social welfare, to share their hearts and strengthen the support network,” adding, “We will continue to develop and promote various educational programs to enhance the capabilities of the Dong Human Safety Net.”


Meanwhile, 749 honorary social welfare officers and 129 members of the Dong local community security council from eight neighborhoods in Guri City are actively leading efforts to discover welfare blind spots and connect administrative services for those struggling with financial difficulties but not receiving welfare support.
