At 10:30 AM on the 30th, 500 city education office staff to attend 'Building Busan's Future Together' theme
Emphasis on the need for close cooperation between the city and education office... Proposing education and administrative cooperation plans for the future
Mayor Park: "Hope this becomes an opportunity to build a sustainable development model with community and education growing together"
On the 30th at 10:30 AM, Mayor Park Hyung-jun will give a special lecture titled "The Future of Busan We Create Together" to the employees of the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education in the main building's 4th-floor auditorium.
This special lecture was proposed by Superintendent Ha Yun-su and will be held as part of the October workplace education for 500 employees from the headquarters, education support offices, and affiliated institutions. It was organized in response to the growing need for cooperation between the city and the Office of Education.
In this lecture, Mayor Park will emphasize strengthening smooth cooperation between city administration and educational administration and present various collaborative measures for education and administration aimed at Busan's future.
He will particularly stress that one of the solutions to the issues of metropolitan area centralization, regional extinction risks, and the outflow of local talent lies in "education," conveying the message that "Busan's future competitiveness stems from education, and education and administration must move forward together for Busan's development and future."
To leap forward as a ‘global hub city Busan’ attracting talent through educational innovation, the city and the Office of Education will collaborate to propose concrete cooperation plans such as ▲establishing an Education Innovation Hub to spark innovation as a Busan education policy brand ▲creating a 15-minute education living zone where education is accessible anytime and anywhere ▲and fostering global talents befitting a ‘global hub city.’
Mayor Park will also introduce the background and policy directions of projects drawing nationwide attention, including the 'Care and Education Connection Project,' 'Busan-type Integrated Neulbom Your Cherished Like You,' and 'Busan Myeongji Neulbom Dedicated School.'
Since last year (2023), these projects have been promoted through cooperation between the city and the Office of Education to build an integrated system of care and education, focusing on providing a safe care and education environment for children and parents.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “The key words for Busan to advance as a ‘global hub city’ are ‘innovation’ and ‘happiness.’ To drive that innovation, the most fundamental thing is to become a city where raising and educating children is good.” He added, “I hope this special lecture will serve as an opportunity to strengthen active cooperation between the city and the Office of Education for educational innovation in Busan and to establish a sustainable development model where the local community and education grow together.”
