Global Corporate Advertising Battleground
10-Second Commercials Broadcast 864 Times Daily
Buldak has appeared in Times Square, New York, USA.
Samyang Round Square announced on the 29th that starting from the 23rd (local time), it will display the 'Splash Buldak' advertisement on the large electronic billboard in Times Square, New York, for about four weeks.
Times Square, the area where Broadway and 7th Avenue intersect, is a representative tourist attraction of New York and is considered a center of art and culture. As one of the most dazzling landmarks in the world, it is famous for being crowded with tourists 365 days a year. Since marketing effects can be achieved regardless of nationality, it is also called the world's largest advertising battleground where global corporations and brands continuously broadcast their advertisements.
As part of the global integrated campaign Splash Buldak, which started on the 11th, Samyang Round Square is launching an outdoor advertising campaign in Times Square. A 10-second advertisement video will be displayed 864 times daily on the electronic billboards near the Broadway ticket booth and Duffy Square for four weeks, totaling more than 24,000 exposures. The total running time during this period is expected to exceed approximately 67 hours.
The advertisement video maximizes the appeal of Buldak sauce with a powerful message, "WANT SOMETHING HOT?" and cinematic direction. Through a 3D outdoor advertisement video showing Hochi sprinkling Buldak sauce on various foods such as hamburgers, pizza, and sandwiches, it expresses both the dynamism and versatility of Buldak, aiming to capture the attention of tourists from around the world visiting Times Square.
A representative from Samyang Round Square said, "Through this Times Square advertisement, we hope to promote the charm of K-sauce worldwide and establish Buldak as a key element that inspires new ideas on dining tables around the world." They added, "With Splash Buldak campaigns taking place in major cities worldwide, the spicy taste of Korea will permeate the daily lives of people globally."
