JNTC is showing strong performance. The news that it has succeeded in supplying the first samples after starting the self-development of large-area TGV glass substrates appears to have had an impact.

[Featured Stock] JNTC Supplies First Glass Substrate Sample... "Unrivaled Technology Compared to Competitors"

As of 9:22 AM on the 29th, JNTC was trading at 23,950 KRW, up 650 KRW (2.79%) compared to the previous trading day.

JNTC announced on the same day that after launching the first prototype of the TGV glass substrate in June, it has completed the development of large-area TGV glass substrates in about four months and will supply the first samples to the three global packaging companies.

The TGV glass substrate for semiconductor packaging developed by JNTC this time is a large-area product (510*515 mm) with a substrate size 500% larger than the existing prototype (100*100 mm). It is an ultra-precision product highly specialized with advanced technologies applied to via holes and through-glass vias (TGV).

A JNTC official explained, "In the full-scale mass production stage of large-area TGV glass substrates, securing the optimal metallizing condition inside all via holes of the substrate in a short time is a core technology and an important means to enhance quality and cost competitiveness." He added, "During the development process of this large-area TGV glass substrate product, we were able to additionally secure a unique and differentiated proprietary metallizing technology that cannot be compared with other companies."

JNTC also explained that due to NDAs with customers, it is difficult to disclose specific details at this time. However, besides the three customers receiving samples, it is negotiating specific product specifications and prices with numerous global packaging customers. Accordingly, following the establishment of the demo line, it plans to begin full-scale preparation for mass production using the remaining site of its 4th factory in Vietnam starting from Q4 2024.
