Gangdong-gu Prepares for Olympic Park Foreon Move-in... Dunchon 1-dong Community Center Temporarily Operates Exterior view of the newly constructed Dunchon 1-dong Community Center. Provided by Gangdong-gu.

Gangdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced on the 29th that the Dunchon 1-dong Community Service Center (31 Yangjaedaero 84-gil) is being temporarily operated ahead of the move-in for Olympic Park Foreon (formerly Dunchon Jugong) apartments.

During the temporary operation period of the Dunchon 1-dong Community Service Center (October 17, 2024 ~ November 24, 2024), civil complaints will be handled only for fixed-date registration and housing lease contract reports (jeonse and monthly rent reports). The district plans to fully staff the center by the end of November to coincide with the move-in period for Olympic Park Foreon, and from November 25, it will begin issuing various certificates such as seals, certified copies, resident registration, family relations, and welfare services, providing full administrative services. However, moving-in registration will only be possible after the start of move-in at Olympic Park Foreon (scheduled for November 27).

The Dunchon 1-dong Community Service Center, which was located within the former Dunchon Jugong apartment complex, was relocated to the Dunchon 2-dong Community Service Center in 2018 due to the housing reconstruction maintenance project and has been operating as a temporary office since then. The newly constructed Dunchon 1-dong Community Service Center building, created as one of the facilities donated through the maintenance project, began construction in June last year and was completed in October this year.

The community center, covering an area of 3,475㎡, was designed to provide residents with a comfortable space not only for civil complaint processing but also for resident communication and autonomous community activities. It includes a civil service office, meeting rooms, autonomous community program rooms, a large auditorium, and a multipurpose room.
