Targeting Northeast Asian Markets Including Strictly Regulated Japan
S-OIL announced on the 29th that it has launched the high flash point immersion cooling oil, 'S-OIL e-Cooling Solution.'
High flash point products are expected to see increased demand especially in Northeast Asian markets such as Korea and Japan, where hazardous materials safety regulations are strict. To introduce immersion cooling technology in large-scale data centers, products that do not fall under regulations according to the Hazardous Materials Safety Control Act and Fire Services Act (with a flash point of 250 degrees Celsius or higher) are required.

S-OIL conducted demonstration tests of the high flash point product using servers manufactured by global server companies, confirming stable server operation and excellent thermal management performance.
For low flash point products as well, through an Aramco subsidiary, S-OIL has completed certification with multiple immersion cooling system developers, aiming to strengthen its product position in overseas markets.
A company representative stated, "The immersion cooling oil launched this time can be used not only in data centers but also in rapidly growing future industries such as electric vehicle batteries and energy storage systems (ESS). We plan to continuously expand thermal management solutions across various industries going forward."
