According to the Ukrainian military, North Korean soldiers are training at several training grounds and are mainly deployed at night. Additionally, North Korean embassy staff are present at the training sites to provide interpretation for the mercenaries and to observe the training.
It is currently unknown when these North Korean soldiers will be deployed in combat or how much longer they will continue training. However, the Ukrainian military explained that the locations of the soldiers are known.
Ukrainian authorities report daily on the deployment of North Korean troops based on intercepted Russian military communications and other data. According to the authorities, North Korean soldiers were spotted in Kursk on the 23rd, with Russian forces assigning one interpreter per 30 soldiers and providing 50 meters of toilet paper and 300 grams of soap per month.
