Festival Held November 1-2 Near Children's Grand Park Back Gate Featuring Lifestyle Culture Arts Activists' Presentations, Singer Celebration Performances, Neighborhood Singing Contests, 20 Workshops Art Market, and Exhibition of Over 50 Artworks

Gwangjin District (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the "2024 Gwangjin Living Culture and Arts Festival" around the rear gate area of Children's Grand Park from November 1 to 2.

The Living Culture and Arts Festival is a festival created together with local cultural and artistic activists, planned for the first time this year to increase interest and participation in culture and arts through communication and exchange among artists.

Under the subtitle "Exciting Gwangjin," the festival will be filled with a variety of programs that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy.

On the first day of the event, there will be a program presentation at the Gwangjin Culture and Arts Center and an opening celebration performance. The presentation, starting at 1 PM, will feature over 100 participants performing guitar, Zumba dance, choir, harmonica, runway, and more.

The opening celebration performances by Toetmaru Dance Company, Gwangjin District Youth Choir, and Kim & Rio Opera Company will make the autumn night even deeper and more beautiful.

The next day, program presentations by the Gwangjin Cultural Center and the Dong Community Centers await. Eleven teams from the Gwangjin Cultural Center will showcase orchestra, wind ensemble, dance, and Nanta performances. Thirteen Dong Community Centers will prepare passionate performances such as line dance, aerobics, and belly dance.

Additionally, a trot singer's congratulatory performance will further elevate the atmosphere of the event. A residents' singing contest and awards ceremony will continue into the evening, marking the grand finale of the festival.

On one side, an arts market with 20 workshops will also be operated. Visitors can directly experience areas of interest such as pottery, baking, woodworking, and handmade soap. An art exhibition will also be presented. About 50 works created by five teams specializing in wood carving, literary painting, watercolor, and more can be appreciated. Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, said, "This festival was prepared to promote communication and harmony among artists active in various fields. I hope everyone will fully demonstrate the skills they have honed over time," and added, "I also hope that residents will participate in the Living Culture and Arts Festival filled with culture and arts during the cool autumn season to regain vitality in daily life and create happy memories."
