Positive Reviews for 'Presentation Practice Assistant Service' with AI Speech Coaching
Soonchunhyang University recently announced on the 28th that it won the grand prize at the 'Capstone Design and AI Hackathon Competition'.
This competition, hosted by the Korea Association of Computer Education and co-hosted by five universities including Soonchunhyang University, brought together 90 participants who generated ideas, went through coding and programming processes, and produced results over a three-day, two-night event.
At Soonchunhyang University, the student team led by Woo Youngyun from the Department of Internet of Things received the grand prize in the field of AI algorithm application with their 'Presentation Practice Assistant Service'.
This service received high praise for utilizing the 'Sense Voice Small' AI algorithm, pre-trained on approximately 300,000 hours of multinational voice data, to provide emotion recognition AI speech coaching for those seeking to improve their presentation skills.
In addition, nine students celebrated winning awards for projects such as an AI assistant supporting multicultural family adaptation and an AI-based rehabilitation trainer with real-time responsiveness and accuracy.
Woo Youngyun said, "It was meaningful to work with teammates I met for the first time and to concretize both the business model and the final product over three days and two nights," adding, "I want to continue gaining practical experience by participating in various projects that incorporate AI in the future."
