Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head: Lee Seyong) announced, "At around 8:20 AM on October 28, the turbine valve, which supplies steam to the turbine of Hanul Unit 5 (1 million kW class), closed, leading to a manual shutdown of the turbine."
Currently, Hanul Unit 5 is being stably maintained at about 35% reactor power output, and the Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters is investigating the detailed cause of the turbine valve closure.
