Paju-si Opens Women's Startup Support Space 'Paju-si Kkummaru'

Goyang, Uijeongbu, and Others Mark the 8th in the Province

Paju-si Opens Women's Startup Support Space 'Paju-si Kkummaru' Paju City is taking a commemorative photo after opening 'Paju-si Kkum Maru,' a support space for women entrepreneurs.

The women's entrepreneurship support space, 'Paju-si Kkummaru,' has been opened. Kkummaru provides various programs such as entrepreneurship education and counseling, meetings, and guidance on entrepreneurship support policies to support women entrepreneurs. Paju-si has become the eighth city in the province to operate Kkummaru, following Goyang, Hwaseong, Uijeongbu, and others.


On the 25th, Gyeonggi Paju-si held an opening ceremony for 'Paju-si Kkummaru' on the first floor of Geumchon Eoullim Center, attended by about 50 people including the Director of Welfare Policy Bureau of Paju-si, the Head of Employment Equality Division of Gyeonggi Province, the Director of Paju Women's New Work Center, the President and members of Paju Small Business Association, the city announced on the 28th.


'Paju-si Kkummaru' was prepared by renovating the existing space on the first floor of Geumchon Eoullim Center. The space, totaling 188㎡, is equipped with facilities such as shared office space, counseling rooms, classrooms, and product photography rooms.


Any local women (including prospective entrepreneurs) can join as members on the Kkummaru website, designate their affiliated Kkummaru, and receive various entrepreneurship support services such as education, counseling, and information sharing support between entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs. They can also directly inquire at Paju-si Kkummaru for counseling and other services.


Kim Eun-sook, Director of the Welfare Policy Bureau, said, "I hope Kkummaru will establish itself as a space that provides an environment and services to support women (prospective) entrepreneurs, allowing entrepreneurs to feel psychological and emotional bonds."
