Integrated Admission Procedures for Kindergartens and Daycare Centers

Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Chang-su) will accept priority admission applications for the 2025 academic year from November 1 to 5 through the kindergarten admission management system, the ‘Admission Application Website.’

General admissions will take place from November 20 to 22, and additional admissions will be held from December 3 to February 14, 2025.

Priority admissions have different eligibility criteria depending on the rank, so it is essential to check them carefully. The 1st priority includes children from legally low-income families, the 2nd priority includes children from families of national veterans and North Korean defectors, the 3rd priority includes siblings attending the same kindergarten after admission, and the 4th priority includes children from families with two or more children and multicultural families.

Starting with the 2025 academic year, Ulsan Office of Education has integrated the admission procedures for kindergartens and daycare centers to enhance convenience for parents. This measure is part of the Yubo Integration policy, improving the system so that parents can apply for kindergarten and daycare center admissions simultaneously in one place.

Parents wishing to enroll their children in kindergarten can register as members on the ‘Admission Application Website’ from October 29 and proceed with the admission process conveniently.

The Admission Application Website can be accessed not only via computer but also through mobile phones, allowing parents to check admission-related information anytime and anywhere, and easily handle all processes from application to announcement and registration. Ulsan Office of Education also provides on-site application services for users who have difficulty using the online system.

An official from Ulsan Office of Education stated, “We will further develop the Yubo Integration through the Admission Application Website and actively support all kindergartens to select children fairly.”
