Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, is delivering the opening speech at 'RAD KOREA WEEK 2024.'

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 28th that the largest domestic advanced technology exhibition, ‘RAD KOREA WEEK 2024,’ held at KINTEX in Goyang from the 23rd to the 27th, successfully concluded with over 70,000 visitors.

This inaugural expo utilized all halls of KINTEX Exhibition Centers 1 and 2 under the theme “Shaping the Future with Technology,” showcasing the achievements of domestic technology and presenting cutting-edge technology and innovation that are shaping the future, marking an important milestone in Korea’s advanced industrial technology sector.

The event featured seven specialized exhibitions including RoboWorld, THE AI SHOW, Goyang Drone & Urban Air Mobility, Digital Media Tech Show, Digital Future Show, Content Korea, and Korea International Construction Machinery Exhibition. Alongside programs such as the Boom-up Korea Export Consultation and Gyeonggi Global Transformation Forum, the exhibition provided valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration, and idea exchange.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Gyeonggi Province, Goyang Special City, Expo&U Co., Ltd., Dai Co., Ltd., and Cheomdan Co., Ltd. hosted each specialized exhibition, attracting participation from over 1,000 companies and research institutions. Gathering in one place, they showcased the latest advancements in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), drones, and digital media, establishing a foundation to lead the future of Korean technology.

In addition to the exhibition, various conferences such as export consultations and technology forums were held, where experts shared technological trends regarding the current status and future direction of Korea’s technology industry.

The diverse sessions of this expo are expected to facilitate numerous business deals, partnerships, and investment opportunities, contributing to building a solid foundation for future growth and innovation.

Moreover, the event provided not only the best platform for industry experts but also an engaging experience for the general public.

Attendees were able to explore and directly experience various advanced technological innovations such as robot- and AI-based devices, advanced drones, and interactive digital media displays, witnessing firsthand how technology can enhance everyday life and industry.
