Care as Neighborly Cooperation... Ulsan-style 'Neighbor愛 Care Project' Begins

Recruitment of 10 Care Cooperative Pilot Project Groups Starting from the 28th

A project where neighbors participate together to provide cooperative care for toddlers and elementary school students will start in Ulsan from the 28th.

Ulsan City’s Tteumsae Neighborly Care is a program that forms groups of 2 to 5 households with children aged 3 to 12, supporting neighbors to directly provide care tailored to various situations such as emergency care, holiday care, and evening care.

Additionally, the program supports activities that promote cooperation and communication among neighbors by conducting care activity programs such as cultural experiences involving all members.

The project is carried out by the Ulsan City Childcare Comprehensive Support Center and is promoted through the budget designated for the Education Development Special Zone pilot area.

The first recruitment will be held from the 28th to November 8th, and applications can be downloaded from the Ulsan Metropolitan City Childcare Comprehensive Support Center website and submitted via email.

If there are many applications, priority will be given to groups including families with multiple children, areas without care facilities, or groups with students attending overcrowded schools.

Ulsan City plans to select a total of 10 groups and provide activity allowances ranging from 300,000 to 450,000 KRW per month depending on the number of households in each group.

An official from Ulsan City said, “This cooperative care project is a new attempt where the neighbor community fills the gaps that public care cannot cover,” adding, “We hope the culture of care communities will spread further.”
