Official Document with 'Congratulations on Your Birth' Birth Commemorative Stamp
Documents Distributed with Childbirth and Parenting Support Project Booklet Holder
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has attracted attention by providing a special service for families who have registered a birth starting this month.
The district announced that it is stamping a birth celebration seal saying "Congratulations on your birth" on official documents (such as family relation certificates and resident registration certificates) issued for verification after birth registration, and providing a document holder to the families who gave birth to keep these documents.
The document holder, designed with the district’s representative characters Eunbongi and Hakbongi, includes the "2024 Dobong-gu Childbirth and Childcare Support Project Booklet," which gathers childbirth and childcare policies in one place, making it easy for parents to find the information they need.
Since the service was actually provided, it has received great responses from parents. A mother, Ms. A, said, "I think it’s nice to commemorate the birth of my child. It will have a special meaning when the child grows up. I will keep it well and give it to my child."
In addition, the district is promoting various projects to create a birth-friendly environment in the area.
For example, since January this year, the district has newly implemented a support project for birth celebration supplies. The supplies were selected based on surveys conducted with pregnant women and caregivers to increase satisfaction.
In particular, diapers were chosen as high-quality products produced domestically, reflecting the characteristics of newborns with sensitive skin.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "The district is making great efforts to create 'Dobong, a good place to have and raise children.' The birth celebration seal stamping service is one of them," and added, "Since support is urgently needed for families before and after childbirth, we will continue to listen to the voices of caregivers and prepare and implement policies that provide practical help."
