Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) jointly held the ‘Jungnang Youth Dream Festival’ and the ‘Future Education Expo’ at Yongma Waterfall Park on the 26th.
Now in its 6th year, the ‘Jungnang Youth Dream Festival’ is one of the sub-projects supporting children and youth autonomous activities in the Jungnang Future Education District, helping young people develop their autonomy by directly participating in festival planning and operation.
This year, the dedicated Dream Festival task force (TF), composed of youth from Jungnang-gu and Dongdaemun-gu, created the festival together under the theme of ‘Career’.
The subtitle of this year’s Dream Festival is ‘The Path to Our Dreams’.
At the festival, 32 diverse experience booths related to careers were operated, including ▲Artificial Intelligence (AI) music composition and caricature creation ▲Wood art woodworking experience ▲Book cover flower wrapping ▲Drawing robot experience ▲Profile photo shooting, which were very popular among the youth.
The ‘Jungnang Future Education Expo,’ held on the same day, was a place to share the achievements of the Jungnang Future Education District governance project, providing a venue for communication and cooperation among the public, private, and academic sectors.
At the expo, 29 exhibition and experience booths showcasing the achievements of the Future Education District project over the past year were operated. Additionally, three films produced by youth were screened, drawing enthusiastic responses from the audience.
The joint opening ceremony held at 2 p.m. began with a performance by the Army Academy Brass Quintet, followed by cheerleading from Seoil College V.I.C, and a stage by Army Academy singer soldier ‘Jo Seung-yeon.’ The highlight of the festival was the performances by 30 Jungnang youth clubs, featuring cheerleading, bands, instrumental performances, and dance, providing great enjoyment to the audience. After the performances, awards were presented to all performing teams and members of the Youth Dream Festival task force (TF), concluding the festival.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “This festival is an autumn festival that can be enjoyed not only by children and youth but also by local residents,” adding, “We will continue to provide unwavering support so that Jungnang-gu youth can pursue their dreams and passions and grow up healthily through various programs of the Jungnang Future Education District.”
