"Must Abandon the Illusion That Everything Can Be Solved Through Dialogue"
On the 27th, the People Power Party criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for blaming the government, rather than North Korea, for the security threat caused by North Korea's deployment of troops to Russia.
Senior Spokesperson Han Jia said in a statement that "North Korea's reckless provocation and deployment to Russia are clearly North Korea's choices, and the responsibility lies entirely with North Korea," adding, "Claims that blame South Korea are no different from condoning North Korea's rampage and are extremely dangerous ideas that threaten the safety of our people."
Senior Spokesperson Han said, "Even as North Korea's deployment to Russia and nuclear and missile threats approach, we must abandon the illusion that the government can be blamed and that the situation can still be resolved through dialogue alone," adding, "If one thinks they can protect the safety of the people while deliberately ignoring North Korea's threats, they have forgotten the duties of a politician."
Senior Spokesperson Han also stated, "The public has not forgotten the dark history of being deceived by fake peace shows disguised as dialogue during the Moon Jae-in administration," and "We are well aware that the obsession with disguised peace at that time was the starting point that led to the current security crisis."
