‘Beautiful Future’... 2024 Busan International Arts Festival Held

From October 28 to November 2 at Busan City Hall

The 2024 Busan International Art Festival (BIAF2024) will be held at the Busan City Hall exhibition hall and auditorium from November 28 to December 2.

The 2024 Busan International Art Festival, under the theme "Beautiful Future," will feature six divisions: ▲International Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition (ICAF), ▲International Graphics Design Competition (IGDC), ▲International Creative Art Competition (ICAC), ▲International Kids Creative Art Competition (IKCA), ▲International Culture and Art Forum (ICAF), and a special ▲Korea-China Calligraphy Special Invitational Exhibition commemorating the 32nd anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations.

The opening ceremony will be held at 2 PM on October 30 in the 3rd exhibition hall of Busan City Hall, followed by the awards ceremony at 3 PM in the Busan City Hall auditorium.

This event is hosted by the Dongmyung University Korea-China Culture and Art Exchange Research Institute (Director Professor Lim Chaegwan) and organized by the Busan International Art Festival Organizing Committee (Chairman President Jeon Hohwan).

It is sponsored by Busan City, Busan City Council, Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, Busan Global City Foundation, Busan Tourism Organization, Busan Cultural Foundation, and numerous media organizations.

The "Korea-China Calligraphy Special Invitational Exhibition," co-hosted by Dongmyung University President Jeon Hohwan and Consul General Jin Ilpyo of the Chinese Consulate General in Busan, will display 82 works submitted by 42 calligraphers from both Korea and China. The proceeds from the sale of calligraphy works will be donated as scholarships for Chinese international students and Korean students related to China.

Jeon Hohwan, chairman of the organizing committee, expressed his hope that the Busan International Art Festival, now in its third year, will continue to grow as a platform for exchanging artists and artworks worldwide and contribute to the development of Busan as a city of art.
